Expectations for Student Organization Tailgating
The Student Organization Tailgate Area offers thrilling views of McLane Stadium from across the Brazos River. This green space is designated for student organization tailgating at all home football games.
- Student organizations need to register and be approved by Student Activities to tailgate for every game.
- Student organizations are prohibited from tailgating in other tailgate areas on home football gamedays.
- Student Organization Tailgating is an alcohol and smoke-free environment.
- Any person damaging University property will be responsible for the cost of repair.
- All vehicles require a parking pass to access the Student Organization Tailgating parking areas.
- Student Activities staff will assign specific tailgate sites in the tailgate areas. Delineating perimeters, "stalking grounds", or unauthorized use of more than assigned space for tailgate sites are prohibited.
- Tents/canopies or tailgating amenities (furniture, grills, generators, satellite dishes) may not obstruct sidewalks, drive lines, or pedestrian walkways.
- All trash must be disposed of in trash receptacles and hot coals in the hot coal barrels located in the tailgating area. Hot coals may not be disposed of on the ground.
- Use of motorized recreational vehicles – four wheelers, golf carts, gators, and scooters – is prohibited.
- All animals must be kept on a leash and must be in compliance with Baylor University's Animals on Campus policy.
- The Department of Student Activities, Baylor Athletics, or any Baylor University entity is not responsible or liable for accidents, damage, loss, or theft of materials/items/personal property left in the tailgating area.
- Commercial activity or solicitations are not allowed on property.
- All Student Organization policies and procedures apply to all sport tailgating taking place in locations including the Student Organization Tailgate Area.
